The Alien Retro was specifically designed to comply with the rules of IPSC Production Optics division and other competitive classes which require that the optic reciprocate with the slide.
Although this feature eliminates one of the key advantages of the Alien pistol design, the Alien Retro still remains lightyears ahead of the competition thanks to the world’s lowest bore axis, low-reciprocating slide mass, and gas-delayed blowback operation.
